River Song

Composer Paul Herron

Arrangements BECB

I went back with my family to visit friends in Galway, and we visited some of the places we used to hang out. It was a great weekend.

Watching water falling, flowing by me

Listening to it sing, its river melody

All the voices lilting talking laughing

Smiling words of friends as they pass on their way

Chorus

Above the white clouds pass under blue

I close my eyes so I can remember you

Bare feet upon the grass, sunshine on your hair

And music of your voice

Chorus

The Western sun sets red into the evening

Light blue water and the sky, green and grey of grass and stone

Rich scented air falls calm upon on my closed eyes

In the newness of the night, I watch asĀ  stars appearĀ

Chorus

Lying by the moonlight on the water

Dancing light of night, moving free and so bright

Feel the breeze of summer warm on my face

Ease into the dawn, fresh sunlight and the moon

Chorus

The morning moon reflects upon the dew fall

And Corrib waters fall down into the bay

Memories flowing down all my days

Stories from my mind, of colour, light and sound
